Food Donations Needed

September 2010 – The summer has been busy! Food donations are down while needs continue to increase. The pantry is very low at the moment and we need all food items. If you are able to donate, we would be very grateful. We are helping around 120 families per week.

Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia Grant
We are grateful to the Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia for the grant of $5,000 for our project to help families to keep electricity connected or to have it reconnected. This grant will help many local families experiencing difficulties at this time.

Roof
Special thanks to: The contractor, who arranged a much lower price for us and paid for the roof points himself; the individual from Mount Carmel Church who donated $7,500; The Frances Hollis Brain Foundation who gave us a grant of $5,000; The Lilburn Business Association; and, every individual who donated to help with this project. All Roof Solutions did a wonderful job, and just before the terrible rains.
